Kraus – Dritte Walpurgisnacht
From March to September 1933, Karl Kraus documented and commented on the National Socialist takeover, the violence on the German streets and in the early concentration camps, the propaganda lies of those in power and the reactions of his contemporaries. The project creates a historical-critical edition of the work "Dritte Walpurgisnacht", which was only published posthumously. The publication will take place in several stages, which include an annotated reading version with intertexts and person references, a commentary with a timeline and a genetic view of the text.
