Bernhard – Wittgensteins Neffe

The digital historical-critical edition of the novel “Wittgenstein's Nephew” by Thomas Bernhard presents, in addition to the first edition in the third edition (1983), all stages of creation contained in the estate, especially two versions typed and handwritten by Bernhard, in the form of digital facsimiles and transcriptions. The full texts, annotated based on the current TEI P5 guidelines, offer insights into the genesis of the work and have been supplemented with a critical commentary and several indexes of people, places, institutions and events.
