TEI Enricher

The ˂TEI˃Enricher is an experimental XML editor used for the creation of TEI documents. It was developed as part of various VICAV projects and has integrated functions that facilitate the creation of comparatively large text documents and the coparatively straightforward implementation of complex workflows. It supports the chunking, tokenisation and annotation of texts, the creation and editing of standoff annotations, has built-in functions for working with geolocalised information, visualises XML texts using XSLT (entire documents as well as partial transformations) and allows XML documents to be validated with XML-Schema, RNG and Schematron.

The ˂TEI˃Enricher has replaced the Viennese Lexicographic Editor (VLE) as a dictionary editor, is freely available on the Institute's website and is used in all VICAV projects.
