LAPIS – Linguae Austriacae – Plattform und Informationssystem zu Sprache(n) in Österreich

The LAPIS (Linguae Austriacae – Platform and Information System on Language(s) in Austria) platform currently being developed represents an online-portal which aims to connect different research data and results on language(s) and varieties in Austria. By relying on an overarching data model, LAPIS aims to make heterogenous data from a variety of projects interoperable. Furthermore, LAPIS will offer basic analytical tools (such as corpus queries, visualizations, mapping and other simple quantitative analyses) natively in the browser.
The LAPIS backend is – so far – based on PostGreSQL, Prisma, Kysely and Fastify. Frontend development so far utilized, Nuxt 3, MapLibre, 3D.js and three.js.
