WBÖ – Image Database
The Image Database contains the digitized images of the paper slips of the main catalog of the WBÖ. It provides access to the currently already [1.5 million] scanned handouts (as of July 2024). A complete digital image capture of the WBÖ main catalog is planned by the end of the WBÖ project cluster in 2037.
The image files are accessible via the IIIF interface of the image server (IIPImage 3.1) and can be accessed via various frontends (UniversalViewer; Mirador). It is possible to download them in various resolutions in JPG format and there is also a share function.
The resource is currently only available internally; an open-access version is being worked on.
