LIÖ – Lexical Information System Austria
The “Lexical Information System Austria” (LIÖ) was developed as a cooperation project between the ACDH-CH and the SFB “German in Austria. Variation - Contact - Perception” (University of Vienna). It is designed as an information and research platform for data on lexical variation in Austria.
Currently and initially, LIÖ serves as a central publication medium for all data and content in the context of the WBÖ project cluster. This includes in particular the new and retro-digitized dictionary articles as well as the WBÖ document database. The interactive mapping tool can be used to display geographical distributions of dialect data as well as research results from the document database.
The WBÖ articles are integrated into LIÖ via a Git repository, while the document database is searched via Elastic Search.
