dQIÖG is a project led by Thomas Wallnig at the Institute for Austrian Historical Research at the University of Vienna, which is being realised in cooperation with the ACDH-CH and the publishing house Böhlau. The starting point of the project is the correspondence of the Austrian historians Bernhard and Hieronymus Pez, which has been the subject of academic research for more than fifteen years and which was published in two volumes between 2010 and 2015 in the series Quelleneditionen des Instituts für Österreichische Geschichtsforschung (QIÖG).

dQIÖG is now migrating the existing material into a digital edition and at the same time creating the framework for the printed publication of the remaining volumes. The project is developing the necessary software and workflows for the transformation of the series into a hybrid form of publication by defining and harmonising the roles of the parties involved: the research group, the series editor, the institutional repository and the publisher. The publication model developed by example can thus be reused for future QIÖG editions.

ACDH-CH supports the project by contributing its expertise in TEI modelling, system and workflow architectures as well as long-term archiving of the edition data in ARCHE.
