Die Studie beschäftigt sich mit der Lesepraxis von Kindern und Jugendlichen, wobei die Lesesozialisation den Schwerpunkt bildet. Erstmals wird untersucht, wie die verschiedenen Sozialisationsinstanzen mit dem Leseverhalten in Zusammenhang stehen. Besondere Berücksichtigung findet die Untersuchung der Bedeutung von Familie, Schule und Peers. Ein Verlaufsmodell soll typische Entwicklungen ab der 5. Jahrgangsstufe bis zum Verlassen der Schule abbilden. Es wird ein umfassender Überblick über die Wege der Lesestoffbeschaffung sowie (außer-)schulische Einflüsse auf die Lesesozialisation gegeben.
This study explores reading behavior in children and young people from the perspective of reading socialization. For the first time, it investigates how different vehicles of socialization are related to reading behavior. A developmental model depicts typical patterns starting from 5th grade through graduation from secondary school, thus providing a comprehensive overview of factors influencing reading socialization, both in and outside school.
