1.Barqum Nimrân of the lineage of Suʾrân and Muḥaylum, qayls2.of the tribe of Bakîlum, the quarter of Dhû-Raydat, has dedicated3.to their patron-deity Sâmiʿ in Ḥaramatân this inscrip-4.tion out of gratitude because he fulfilled for him all the oracles5.which he had sought from him as a promise of protection in order to give them aid6.against the storm during the springtime rainy season, which came in the month of Bi-7.ʿathtar bin Maʿdîkarib bin Ḥazfirum, and they re-8.stored their faith to Sâmiʿ their faith because he had fulfilled for them his ora-9.cle and they brought forth a good crop and of the storm10.they saw no more. And may Sâmiʿ continue to fulfill for hiss er-11.vants of the lineage of Suʾrân all the oracles which they might seek12.from him.
