Biography
Historian | Göllner studied history and communication sciences at the University of Salzburg. DOC scholarship holder at the Austrian Academy of Sciences (2006-2008), post-doc researcher at the Centre for Jewish Cultural History at the University of Salzburg (2010-2013), freelance researcher in various projects focusing on National Socialism, denazification, welfare education and sports history, most notably 'the City of Salzburg in National Socialism' (2009-2018) and 'The redesign of the Austrian exhibition at the Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial' (2014-2021). Since 2017 he’s working on an independent research project on the NS-Soldatenring (research fellow of the Gerda Henkel Foundation 2017-2019).
2022-2023 freelance and guest researcher at the Institute of Culture Studies (IKW) of the Austrian Academy of Sciences as part of the thematic platform Austrian history of Science in global context, since 2023 project-employee at the IKW.
