... studierte Übersetzen und Dolmetschen an der Universität Graz und promovierte an der Universität Wien in Translationswissenschaft mit besonderer Berücksichtigung der Terminologiewissenschaft und Korpuslinguistik. Sie war in zahlreichen nationalen und internationalen Forschungsprojekten tätig, zunächst als Junior Researcher am Institut für Fachkommunikation und Mehrsprachigkeit der Europäischen Akademie Bozen, dann als wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin und Lehrende an der Universität Wien.
Im Jahr 2015 wechselte sie zum ACDH-CH (damals ACDH), wo sie derzeit als Senior Scientist das Team ERICs (European Research Infrastructure Consortia) & Education innerhalb der Forschungseinheit DH Forschung&Infrastruktur leitet. Sie war in mehreren Projekten Projektleiterin (z.B. ParlaMint, DYLEN, ELEXIS, DYSEN), sie initiierte die Erstellung des ParlAT-Korpus und leitete den österreichischen Beitrag für das ParlaMint-Projekt. Derzeit ist sie in die europäischen Forschungsinfrastrukturen CLARIN-ERIC, DARIAH-EU, und deren österreichischem Pendant CLARIAH-AT involviert.
Seit 2024 ist sie Nationale Koordinatorin für Österreich in CLARIN, und stellvertretende Nationale Koordinatorin für Österreich in DARIAH.
Sie ist auch Mitglied im Joint Research Committee in DARIAH.
Weiters ist sie aktiv in die Normung eingebunden (Austrian Standards Komittee 033 "Terminologie, Information und Dokumentation" und ISO TC/37).
Seit 2019 ist sie eine der Editor:innen der Zeitschrift "Journal of the Text Encoding Initiative".
Sie hat mehr als 15 Jahre Lehrerfahrung in unterschiedlichen Institutionen und in unterschiedlichen Settings (BA, MA, PhD, Training Schools) und zur Zeit unterreichtet Sie DH Methoden an der Universität Wien. Am ACDH-CH ist sie für die ACDH-CH Tool Galleries verantwortlich.
Zu ihren Forschungsschwerpunkten zählen digitale Sprachressourcen und Sprachtechnologien, insbesondere Terminologische Ressourcen und Korpora (z.B. Parlamentskorpora). Weitere Forschungsinteressen sind Terminologiewissenschaft und Translationswissenschaft und sie beschäftigt sich mit (digitalen) Workflows, mit Standards und mit der Vermittlung von DH Methoden und Technologien.
