… received her doctoral degree from Graz University in 1996 and her habilitation from the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna in 2008. Since 1999 she is working at the Austrian Academy of Sciences. From 2014–2018, she was the Vice Rector for Research at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz and 2018/19 Interim Director of the Institute of History of Art and Musicology.
She is head of the Department of Musicology and since 2021 editor of the Austrian Encyclopedia of Music. Her research interests include the history of music and musicology in Austria in the 19th and 20th century, music and the revolution of 1848, and cultural aspects of musicological research.
