Gestreamt, gelikt, flüchtig – schöne neue Kulturwelt?

Digitalisation is the driving technology of our time; its children are called the internet, smartphones and social media. This digital family is shaping and changing the way we think, feel and decide. In other words, it is shaping our culture. Is digital transformation in culture really creating completely new products? Is it creating new forms of production as well as new content—not only in the context of artistic creation, but also in the world of work, in the political system, in our coexistence? The numerous contributions in this anthology, some of which are quite different in terms of form, explore the interplay between digitalisation and culture and show the extent to which what is new is already partly inherent in old, analogue technology.
