Genealogy of Austrian medical professorships in the 20th century
The research project examines the development of medical professorships at the universities of Vienna, Graz and Innsbruck in the years 1918 to 1975. A genealogy of medical professorships is compiled, which includes information on the holders of the position, the length of time until the position was reoccupied, the status of the subject, the appointment proposals of the professorial college, the number of potential applicants, the proportion of primo loco appointments and the development of income levels. Particular attention is paid to gender-specific aspects (appointments of women).
