Academic Background

Jan Zimmermann studied mathematics at the Technical University Dortmund (Germany). His masters thesis dealt with the construction and discretization of coorbit spaces. Since August 2024, he is working as a PhD student at the Acoustics Research Institute.

Current Research

Currently he is working at the project "DISCO", which aims to discretize continuous frames by using sets of low discrepancy. Such continuous frames often appear, for instance, in time frequency analysis.
