CO-DESIGN AND AGILE MANAGEMENT FOR TRANSDISCIPLINARY RESEARCH
Conceived as part of the “brainfood. methods 2 inspire” event series, organised by ACDH exploration space, this invitation only introductory session to a series of techniques derived from design and software development disciplines aims to explore new ways to ideate, plan & manage projects in diverse and open collaborative contexts like action-research or citizen science.
Facilitated by Enric Senabre Hidalgo, researcher & PhD candidate at Dimmons.net research group at the IN3-Internet Interdisciplinary Institute (Open University of Catalonia) and CECAN Fellow (University of Surrey). Oriented to researchers and other academic professionals, the workshop covers hands-on discussions around the citizen science toolkit, developed in collaboration with OpenSystems & practical exercises about basic Agile principles for research management. The case study is a joint problem sourcing for a foodhub.
The workshop is connected to the DARIAH grant 2016 “Public Humanities”, supported by the project exploreAT!, part of the exploration space's ongoing effort to develop new methodological approaches and rethink the humanities from a human-centred perspective. It aims to bridge the gap between the humanities and challenge-based, social innovation in exploring the field of nutrition. It’s goal is to contribute to a knowledge-for-development partnership and pursues sustainable development goals.
