Streitkulturen werden bestimmt von ihrem Verhältnis zu Konsens und Zerwürfnis: Konflikte können als destruktiv und störend empfunden werden. Doch die produktiv-kritische Auseinandersetzung in und zwischen Religionen, Wissenschaftsdisziplinen und Gesellschaftsformen ist auch auf Konflikt und Streit angewiesen, wenn wechselseitiges Verstehen nicht verordnet, sondern erreicht werden soll.
