In addition, this volume addresses coordination with other business activities, as well as across the entire company. während sich der erste Band der Betriebswirtschaftlichen Logistik ausführlich den einzelnen logistischen Teilfunktionen widmet, liegt der Schwerpunkt des zweiten Bands auf der Koordination dieser Teilfunktionen. Daneben werden die Abstimmung mit anderen betrieblichen Funktionen und die unternehmensübergreifende Koordination thematisiert. Entsprechend findet auch eine Abgrenzung gegenüber dem Konzept des Supply Chain Managements statt. Die strategische, taktische und operative Logistikplanung bilden das Rückgrat des Logistikmanagements und werden deshalb intensiv beleuchtet. Das Kapitel zur Logistikführung stellt persönliche Weisungen und Handlungen der Selbstabstimmung in den Mittelpunkt. Im Rahmen der Logistikorganisation werden Aspekte der aufbauorganisatorischen Strukturierung sowie der Prozessgestaltung aufgezeigt und an Beispielen erläutert.
