Die Studie von Ursula Bredel rekonstruiert die Interpunktion unabhängig von der Norm unter formaler, distributioneller und funktionaler Perspektive. Unter formaler Perspektive wird der Aufbau der Einzelzeichen untersucht, unter distributioneller Perspektive werden graphotaktische Gesetzmäßigkeiten beschrieben, unter funktionaler Perspektive wird die Leseprozesssteuerung der Interpunktionszeichen rekonstruiert. Auf dieser Grundlage werden Form-Funktionsgruppen isoliert, die die für das Wort-, das Satz- und das Textlesen relevanten Markierungsstrukturen abbilden, wobei jedem Formmerkmal und jedem Distributionsmerkmal eigene Funktionen korrespondieren. Im Resultat ergibt sich ein kompositionell bestimmbares Gesamtsystem, das zeigt, mit welchen Mitteln die Schrift die okulomotorischen und die subvokalisatorisch begleiteten Aktivitäten beim Lesen steuert. | ||

This study shows that it is actually a simple, transparent system that serves the reader more than the writer. This study orients itself on formal features of individual characters and the situations in which they appear.
