520 | |a This study is devoted to the texts deriving from Hartmann von Aue's »Gregorius«: Arnold of Lübeck's »Gesta Gregorii Peccatoris«, the hexameter version »Gregorius Peccator«, the legend »Gregorius auf dem Stein« from »The Lives of the Saints«, and the exempla »De Gregorio« and »Gregorius de grote sunder«. It indicates linguistic and topical commonalities, foregrounds the adaptive procedures employed, and investigates changes in the circles of recipients. With the exception of Arnold's »Gesta«, the different instances of productive reception are presented in new editions of the text versions closest to Hartmann's original.
