Die Fortpflanzung der übrigen Lebewesen wird in den Büchern VI und VII besprochen (in Vorbereitung). In der Einleitung und dem Kommentar wird Buch V unter philologischen, historischen, philosophischen und biologischen Gesichtspunkten analysiert. Leitende Fragestellungen sind: Wie arbeitete Aristoteles als Biologe und als Autor? Wie gestaltet sich das Verhältnis zur späteren Schrift De generatione animalium (Über die Entstehung der Lebewesen) und zu den übrigen zoologischen Schriften? Großzügige Indices und ein Verzeichnis der antiken und modernen Tiernamen erleichtern die Benutzung. | ||
