About

Gregor Konicar is an information technologist and cognitive scientist and has been responsible for IT and information management at the ITA since 2019.

Education

Studied Project Management & Information Technology at the FH Vienna with a focus on virtual cooperation, in addition to courses at the TU Vienna and the Technikum Wien. Interuniversity studies of Cognitive Science at the University and Medical University of Vienna, as well as at the University of Ljubljana and the University of Bratislava with a focus on AI, behavioral biology and neuropsychology. Additional training in bio- and neurofeedback and brain-computer interfaces.

Career

After entering the IT world of banks and content providers, Gregor Konicar moved to Siemens in Munich, where he gained his first international experience in the Applications & Solutions division for the NEMEA region. Back in Vienna at Siemens PSE, he worked in process management before becoming involved in adult education (language trainer, IT trainer) in addition to project work at the University of Vienna and the University of Ljubljana. This was followed by scientific activities in Germany (Regensburg, Tübingen) in the field of BCI and neurofeedback, then, again in Vienna, as a freelance IT consultant.

He joined the ITA team in May 2019 and is responsible for IT and information management (hardware, software, netware, wetware).
