travel!digital – Corpus and Thesaurus

Corpus of five early German Baedeker travel guides as digital full text in TEI format from the period 1875-1914 totalling 3,089 book pages, 1.51 million tokens or 1.21 million running words. The transcriptions of the first editions contain both semantic and linguistic basic annotations (part-of-speech tagging, lemmatization). Facsimiles of the printed editions are also available. A specially compiled thesaurus in SKOS format contains over 4,200 keywords with detailed explanations and more than 3,200 links to external resources in the Linked Open Data Cloud.
