Arithmetic Aspect of D- nite Power Series
D- nite power series, introduced by Richard Stanley in 1980, are solutions of homogeneous linear di er-
ential equations with rational function coecients. This is an important class of special functions since
it appears ubiquitously in algebra, combinatorics, and number theory. In this talk, we will focus on the
arithmetic aspect of D- nite power series and present rationality theorems on these series. This talk is
based on several joint papers with Jason Bell, Ehsaan Hossain, Khoa Nguyen and Umberto Zannier.
