Summary:The present work is part of a wider project aimed at giving the right scholarly approach to the collections of the "Civico Museo Archeologico di Milano" sixty years after the edition of the first, and thus far the only, volume of the Corpus Vasorum Antiquorum dedicated to them. Unlike what Gianguido Belloni did for the volume published in 1959, we abandoned a "miscellaneous" approach and decided to publish homogeneous materials from a chronological-typological and productive point of view, in this case black-figure Attic ceramics. The objects in the catalog cover a period of time that extends from the last thirty years of the 6th century B.C. to about the middle of the following century, and offer a varied panorama, from a morphological point of view, of the Attic productions of the period under examination, including amphorae kraters, hydriai, lekythoi, kyathoi, cups and skyphoi. The vases come from various private collections, then absorbed into the collections of the Civico Museo Archeologico di Milano through purchase or donation. These are the collections of Emilio Seletti, Pompeo Castelfranco, Luigi Fusier, Giuseppe Carlo Riquier. The materials belonging to the Cima Pesciotti collection, on the other hand, were purchased by the State through the exercise of the right of first refusal and subsequently deposited at the Civico Museo Archeologico.
