Most domestic animals are female, subadult animals of small build. Sheep and goats are the most important victims followed by pig and cattle. From the point of weight of bones the cattle come first followed by sheep and goat. The bones of the wild animals come mostly from fallow-deer followed by red-deer and roe. Bones with ritual function are unequally spread among the three main excavation areas.<br />Northern cult-basis: Carbonized femora as well as vertebrae sacrales et coccygeae from cattle, sheep and goat as residues the olympic sacrifice; some handicraft worked tali. Hekatompedos: Pieces of cranium of horned goat, sheep, cattle and fallow- deer as remains of the 'bomos kertinos'; a few tali and carbonized bones. Central-basis: A small amount of tali; hornes and carbonized bones without significance; remarkable few bones of ruminants. The unequal distribution of remains among the temple shows the different aspects of worship of Artemis in the mentioned areas.
