The reflecting subject in the process of formation is not decisive any more when we have ready for use samplings. The authors of the book made it their business to ask for a contemporary notion of enlightened formation (Bildung) and to expound the problems of it in a multi-perspective way -- be it likewise in a pedagogical and subject-oriented educational manner, be it from the perspective of teaching methodology and of practical experience or be it philosophically and pragmatically.
