- Where two or three theologians come together, dispute is inevitable. This statement is provoked by a look back at the history of Christianity: How many disputes have been there, including those that have led to condemnations and schisms! In the present, however, we rather speak of plurality, dialogue, and discourse. Genuine theological disputes have become rare, although, of course, the topics of dispute do not abate. This volume examines the topic from exegetical, historical, systematic-theological, and practical perspectives. In addition, it includes further contributions from current research projects by members of the Faculty of Protestant Theology at the University of Vienna.
