Für Rainald Goetz ist diese ästhetische Innovation Teil eines umfassenden diskursiven Prozesses, dem er sich über Luhmanns Systemtheorie anzunähern versucht. Von dessen Begriff der Latenz beeinflußt, entwickelt er die Vorstellung eines Denkens und Sprechens, das sich selbst nicht voll verfügbar ist und erst im umgebenden kommunikativen Rahmen seine Erfüllung findet.
