Mathematical Methods and Operation Research in Logistics, Project Planning, and Scheduling / by Zsolt Tibor Kosztyán, Zoltán Kovács (editors). [Place of publication not identified] : MDPI - Multidisciplinary Digital Publishing Institute, 2023. 1 online resource (288 pages) text txt rdacontent computer c rdamedia online resource cr rdacarrier Description based on publisher supplied metadata and other sources. In the last decade, the Industrial Revolution 4.0 brought flexible supply chains and flexible design projects to the forefront. Nevertheless, the recent pandemic, the accompanying economic problems, and the resulting supply problems have further increased the role of logistics and supply chains. Therefore, planning and scheduling procedures that can respond flexibly to changed circumstances have become more valuable both in logistics and projects. There are already several competing criteria of project and logistic process planning and scheduling that need to be reconciled. At the same time, the COVID-19 pandemic has shown that even more emphasis needs to be placed on taking potential risks into account. Flexibility and resilience are emphasized in all decision-making processes, including the scheduling of logistic processes, activities, and projects. In English. About the Editors vii -- Preface to the Special Issue on "Mathematical Methods and Operation Research in Logistics, Project Planning, and Scheduling" 1 -- A Districting Application with a Quality of Service Objective 5 -- A Rich Vehicle Routing Problem for a City Logistics Problem 27 -- An Inventory Model for Non-Instantaneously Deteriorating Items with Nonlinear Stock-Dependent Demand, Hybrid Payment Scheme and Partially Backlogged Shortages 41 -- Analysis and Consequences on Some Aggregation Functions of PRISM (Partial Risk Map) Risk Assessment Method 65 -- Mathematical Modelling of Inventory and Process Outsourcing for Optimization of Supply Chain Management 85 -- Reconfiguration of Foodbank Network Logistics to Cope with a Sudden Disaster 113 -- An Artificial Bee Colony Algorithm for Static and Dynamic Capacitated Arc Routing Problems 133 -- A Path Planning Model for Stock Inventory Using a Drone 171 -- Scheduling with Resource Allocation, Deteriorating Effect and Group Technology to Minimize Total Completion Time 191 -- Multipurpose Aggregation in Risk Assessment 207 -- Multi-Trip Time-Dependent Vehicle Routing Problem with Split Delivery 227 -- A Flexible Robust Possibilistic Programming Approach toward Wood Pellets Supply Chain Network Design 251.
