Summary: | Akrothinia 2 is presented as a sequel to Akrothinia, which appeared three years ago in this same series, and aims to provide an overview of the research carried out by young scholars in the field of Prehistory and Protohistory of the Aegean basin. A novelty compared to the previous volume is the inclusion of some essays by young foreign scholars, who during their preparation have spent periods of study at Italian institutes, thus creating an international link since the beginning of their scientific activity. It is now more and more evident that Aegean studies, mainly focused on the two great Minoan and Mycenaean civilizations, represent a junction point between the pre-classical Mediterranean in general and the subsequent Greek world. |
