It is a Sardinia out of time, on the threshold of history, the one that emerges from the pages of the novels and short stories of Giuseppe Dessí. But it is also a living Sardinia, full of contradictions that occur in the landscape and in the events of men. The profound relationship that has linked Dessí to his land, nourishing its fiction, essays, intellectual work, is strongly imposed in the correspondence collected in this volume.
