Description
Summary:With this book edited by Dario Collini, which collects the work of young researchers led by Anna Dolfi ("GREM" "NGEM") who have dealt with the 17,000 correspondence pieces of the Macrì Fund, an extraordinary work tool is offered to those interested of Hermeticism, of Italian criticism and poetry of the twentieth century. Shadows from the background or 'flashing lights' that may be, the flashes sent by the letters are signs of the human genesis of culture, since they retain traces of what is linked to everyday life that contributes to the construction of the 'great' history and planning; intellectual and political that accompanies it. Here then is that readings, books, magazines, collaborations, friendships, resentments, travels, literary and private passions emerge from these regestas, to give voice to an era and its protagonists. Among the major scholars of Leopardi, leopardism, fiction and poetry of the twentieth century, he has always placed Hermeticism at the centre of his critical work. He edited two fundamental volumes on L'ermetismo e Firenze (FUP, 2016) dedicated to masters and models, critics, translators, poets, of that extraordinary experience of which Macrí was an exceptional theorist, witness, guardian. Dario Collini is a PhD student in Italian Studies at the University of Pisa with a thesis on the Anceschi-Macrí correspondence. He has published essays on the literary relations between Lecce and Florence in the twentieth century. He edited the Macrí-Pagano correspondence (FUP 2016), he has in print the one between Anceschi and Giuseppe De Robertis.
