Description
Summary:Next divorce is undoubtedly a fundamental reference text for the history of women and civil rights. Anna Franchi fights together with the socialists for both freedom of choice and the right to civil and political vote, denied, once again, to women. The texts presented also claim the struggles for the right to work and a fair salary and present unpublished profiles of personalities who fought, with little hope and a lot of courage. Anna Franchi was also the first woman who believed in the Macchiaioli movement: she wrote its history, met its interpreters, sought for them a market that recognized its value. Important friendship with Giovanni Fattori and correspondence with many painters: the letters become a mirror not only of their artistic intentions but also of the moods, relationships, travels, successes and many moments of sadness that were confided to their friend Anna.
