Description
Summary:The volume tries to give as comprehensive an answer as possible on why wind engineering has taken on such an important role today. The authors wanted to proceed by stages, first of all accompanying the participants on a historical journey, in which they led a reflection on the inevitable relationship between man-civilization-climate; subsequently, they wanted to highlight the socio-economic aspects of the phenomenon and finally, they brought to the attention the research activity carried out in the Interuniversity Research Center of Aerodynamics of Construction and Wind Engineering, throwing a look at some of the engineering examples of the latest generation which by their nature have a strong link with wind action.
