Thematic coordinates in the poetic work of Josefina Plá investigates little-studied aspects and proposes new interpretations of the poet's work (Islas Canarias 1903 - Asunción 1999). The intertextual analysis, which apart from the verses has also explored stories, essays and plays, has revealed a network of relationships, metaphors and thematic axes (such as erotic passion, the desire for motherhood or meditations on the multiplicity of the individual and his relationship with time and death) that develops both internally, between the various spheres of the author's production, and externally, establishing explicit links or revealing implicit affinities with authors such as Rokha, Unamuno, Pirandello, Seneca, Heidegger or García Lorca. Francesca Di Meglio has a PhD in Languages, Comparative Literatures and Cultures. His field of work encompasses Japanese, English and Paraguayan literature.
