Description
Summary:In recent years, the leader of "Justice and Freedom" has been the focus of widespread and renewed attention. The author reconstructs the itinerary of Carlo Rosselli, conducting the theoretical analysis in the light of the complexity of the historical context. From the years of the Great War to his exile in France, intellectual reflection and political commitment characterize the path of the Florentine anti-fascist as intertwined and inextricable threads. In an attempt to identify the key passages of a restless research, the volume follows the stages of an evolving thought. Thought that matures through the critical confrontation with liberal theory and Marxist doctrine, finds inspiration in English socialism and conceives opposition to the fascist regime as a premise for a project of progressive democracy.
