Fragments of the contemporary: readings brings together articles by professors from the Graduate Program in Letters at UNESP, campus of São José do Rio Preto, the result of their recent research on contemporary literature. The book, composed of seven studies, analyzes texts and national and international authors, in prose and poetry. Susanna Busato studies the subject that adheres to the urban space, based on the poetry of Frederico Barbosa, Heitor Ferraz and Fábio Weintraub. Sérgio Vicente Motta analyzes Chico Buarque's novel, Leite Derramado.
