Description
Summary:Much of the social problems that we face today could be minimized with the destination, and mainly, with the more efficient application of available public resources. It is necessary for society to closely monitor the management process of public administrations, starting with the closest one, the municipal one. This task has been facilitated by the use of Information Technology resources that can provide a more transparent and accessible environment, allowing society to look at the actions and decisions of public management. This opens up the possibility to monitor and demand greater effort from public managers to expand the availability of options for accessing public data and services. Really transparent governments can encourage popular participation, citizenship and the construction of a more just society. In this book, the aspects involved in the process of building such an environment are analysed and several elements are proposed to be identified in the search for measuring the level at which this interaction is being provided. It is a topic of great relevance and relevance.
