Summary: | eng: Infrastructures have been left out of consideration in the discussion about journalistic quality in Austria for a long time. In this dissertation journalistic infrastructures are (per definitionem):<br />journalism education and training, Press Council and Ombudsman, the critical public, professional associations, journalism prizes, media journalism and media research. Subsequently journalistic infrastructures are identified as a part of the journalistic system - the thinking in networks is placed into the foreground: All infrastructures are part of the quality-securing journalistic network, they form for themselves a network which is spanned over the whole journalistic system. The network of infrastructure offers an unique platform for discussions about the situation of the branch and about grievances in the branch. In this way it comes to multiple quality-securing effects which are presented in this dissertation. Nevertheless, this quality-securing influence could be increased decisively. But, therefore, the effectivity and efficiency of the single infrastructures must be improved. |
