eng: The history of the ensemble 'Die Reihe' has been worked out on three steps. Lots of archives-sources all over the thirtyfive years of its existence (1959-1994) and further till now, enabled a total-raise of the dates of concerts and played compositions, and tenor-analysis of the publicistic reports. Sixteen interviews of the most involved main-members and a special comment of the famous composer Gyoergy Ligeti let one have a look into time and thinking of the musically and organizatoric most important people around the ensemble 'Die Reihe'. Side-themes, like personally form of existence during the second world war, personally careers except within the ensemble 'Die Reihe' and comments to the past and present cultural and political situation, let appear individual characters of the interview partners. For that was given plenty of room instead of an author's conclusion. A short introduction to the theme, biographic briefings of the founders Friedrich Cerha and Kurt Schwertsik as well as Heinz Karl Gruber, and a precise numeric statistic, is giving entrance to the wide field of contemporary music after 1945. The activities of the ensemble 'Die Reihe' are a tall content of that matter, reflecting the different stiles of modern music in proportion and relevance.
