Summary: | ger: Several heteroatom-substituted chiral [D1]methyllithiums, prepared by transmetalation of the respective tributylstannylmethyl precursors, have been tested towards their microscopic and macroscopic configurational stability. They are versatile tools for stereoselective deuterium labelling and can be utilised to elucidate reaction mechanisms of biosynthetic or biodegradative pathways.
