ger: Diese kumulative Dissertation bezweckt, zum Forschungsfeld der elektronischen Verhandlungen beizutragen, in dem eine sozio-ökonomische Perspektive zur Anwendung kommt. Die Information, die von den Ergebnissen der beinhalteten Manuskripte abgeleitet werden kann, soll einen Beitrag zur Verbesserung von existierenden Unterstützungs-Systemen leisten und die Wissensbasis von elektronischen Verhandlungen und den zugrundeliegenden Prozessen erweitern. Eine Verbindung zwischen Konflikten als Antezedenz von Verhandlungen im allgemeinen und der Einfluss von situativen Variablen in elektronischen Verhandlungen sowie elektronische Verhandlungs-Unterstützungs-Systeme werden dargestellt.<br />Dafür wurden Experimente auf web-basierenden Verhandlungsplattformen im Zeitraum von 2003 - 2005 durchgeführt und die Daten statistisch analysiert. Im Detail wurden folgende Aspekte untersucht: ein Vergleich eines passiven und eines aktiven Unterstützungssystems, ein Vergleich zwischen einem synchronen und einem asynchronen Übermittlungsmodus, Kultur, Soziale Einbettung, Geschlecht sowie Phasen-Analyse von Verhandlungsprozessen.<br />

eng: This cumulative dissertation aims at contributing to the field of electronic negotiations applying a socio-economic perspective.<br />Information deduced from the results of the included manuscripts should help to improve existing support systems and enlarge the state of knowledge about electronic negotiations and their underlying processes.<br />A concise connection will be drawn between conflicts as the antecedents of a negotiation in general, the influence of situational variables in e-negotiations, and electronic negotiation support systems. Therefore, experiments on web-based negotiation platforms were conducted between 2003 and 2005 and the data was statistically analyzed. In more detail, the following topics have been investigated: a system comparison between a passive and an acitve-facilitative negotiation support system, a comparison of synchronous and asynchronous communication mode, culture and its impact, social embeddedness, gender salience, and phase analysis of negotiation processes.
