Institutionen, Verbände und Initiativen im Bereich der Baukultur waren aufgefordert teilzunehmen. 70 Jahre nach dem Tod von Emilie Winkelmann, der ersten erfolgreichen deutschen Architektin, sollte Bilanz gezogen werden: Wer sind die starken Frauen von heute? Werden sie wahrgenommen? Wie steht es um die Gleichstellung in der Baukultur und den Umbau des Berufsbildes? Die Publikation zeigt auf, was Institutionen aus Politik, Lehre und Wirtschaft, was Chef*innen und Mitarbeiter*innen, Hochschulleiter*innen und Professor*innen tun können oder schon getan haben, damit es vorangeht auf der Baustelle Gleichstellung. 
520 |a The aims of the Women in Architecture Berlin 2021 festival were to make female architects visible, provide them with a platform and a voice, and to showcase their achievements. Institutions, associations, and initiatives in the field of building culture were all encouraged to take part. Seventy years after the death of Emilie Winkelmann, the first successful female German architect, the organizers wanted to consider the current status of women in architecture: Who are the strongest female players in the building sector today? Are they being acknowledged? What is the state of equality in building culture and how does the profession need to be modified? This publication highlights what political, teaching, and commercial institutions, managers and employees, university leaders and professors can do—and in some cases have already done—to promote equality on the building site.
