This monograph documents 21 built projects designed by Herzog & de Meuron, from the Royal College of Art in London to the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, as well as the Ricola-Kräuterzentrum in Laufen and the Prada-Shop in Tokyo. This book presents the architects’ design intentions, the way they deal with traditional and innovative materials, as well as the related technological challenges. Texts and photos, drawings and illustrations serve to document the buildings and also display processes and construction details.
