Holzbauten werden heute dank leistungsfähiger Verbundkonstruktionen aus Holz und Stahl oder Beton weit jenseits der Hochhausgrenze errichtet. Ein Ende des Höhenwachstums ist kaum absehbar. Das Buch „Natur + Struktur – Holztragwerke“ zeigt die aktuelle Entwicklung der Tragwerksplanung mit Holz anhand von rund 20 herausragenden Ingenieurbauten. An der Planung beteiligte Ingenieure beschreiben die Konzeption der Tragwerke sowie individuelle Lösungen für ihre Realisierung. Fachbeiträge aus Forschung und Technik runden das Werk ab.
