How do intentions enroll into the practice of architecture and landscape design and research? How do they become operative to orient, clarify, and energize the creative process, and in what ways do they inform design and knowledge processes? Contributions in this edited volume describe, reconstruct, and analyze a multitude of capacities and arcs of tension that occur between alignment and implementation, agency and contextualization, as well as across exploration, imagination, and projection. Wie schreiben sich Intentionen in die Praktiken von Entwerfen und Forschen in Architektur und Landschaft ein? Die Beiträge beschreiben, rekonstruieren und analysieren vielfältige Kapazitäten und Spannungsbögen, die sich zwischen Ausrichtung und Realisierung, zwischen Agency und Kontextualisierung sowie zwischen Erkundung, Imagination und Projektivem entwickeln. Sie zeigen zudem auf, mit welchen anderen treibenden Kräften Intentionen in Entwurfs- und Forschungsprozessen generativ zusammenwirken. Mit neuen Perspektiven wird die Relevanz einer reflexiven Entwurfsforschungspraxis fur die qualitätsvolle Gestaltung des menschlichen Lebensumfeldes aufgezeigt.
