So entsteht eine vielstimmige Sammlung, die Trends und Themen des aktuellen kritischen Museumsdiskurses aufnimmt und zugleich Anstöße für ein couragiertes Darüberhinaus gibt. Published in 1970, "The Museum of the Future. 43 Contributions to the Discussion about the Future of the Museum" consists of ideas about the expected and desired development of this institution. Now, 50 years later, it is time for a revision: 43 new contributions by international authors from the museum industry in various fields - from theory, education, art, and architecture - outline concrete visions for a museum of the future: confident and doubtful, critical, clearly positioned, and subjective.
