Beide orientierten sich dabei an Traditionslinien der Moderne, welche im kulturellen System der DDR unterrepräsentiert waren. Während Matusche einen sozialistischen mit einem magischen Realismus verknüpfte, entwickelte Trolle Formen des Absurden weiter.Julia Lind stellt diese ungleichen Grenzgänger des DDR-Theaters anhand ausgewählter Theatertexte, Theaterinszenierungen sowie Hör- und Fernsehspiele vor und eröffnet damit einen ungewöhnlichen, »von den Rändern des Sozialismus ausgehenden« Blick auf die deutsch-deutsche Geschichte. | ||
