Auf ihren Wanderungen durch den Grenzraum Europas verweisen sie auch auf die Grenzen des Rechts und begeben sich selbst in das Zentrum gegenwärtiger politischer Auseinandersetzungen.

Usually drawing upon Hannah Arendt and Giorgio Agamben, they are located outside of political spaces and therefore at the margin of the world. Yet Julia Schulze Wessel shows: By being marginal characters, refugees question, violate and transcend borders, thus challenging democratic orders in their own specific way.
